RAPANELLI RETURNS TO BARFOLD OLIVES 2010 SEASON.


As part of the recovery from the Feb 7th 2009 Redesdale bushfires, Barfold Olives decided to re-instate the processing facility to provide processing of olives for Extra Virgin Olive Oil for internal product and contracting for the small to medium grower.

 

The facility is fully insulated with flush surfaces to ensure a hygienic and a safe working environment. All equipment coming in contact with the product is of food-grade stainless steel or plastics.

 

The plant includes a separate temperature controlled bottling area for small scale bottling runs (400-500bottles/hr).

 

Due to the fantastic reliability, oil quality and customer response we have decided to go with a new Rapanelli processing plant provided by JB MacMahon similar to previously installed as a primary processor. The new plant offering and increase in capacity from 400kg/hr to approximately 600kg/hr plus, dependent on quality of olives.

 

Additional improvements include:

Larger crusher with rotating screen and mobile knife mill to reduce heat buildup

2 x 400kg malaxing tanks for improved malaxing control

Flexibility to add additional malaxing tank and decanter for future expansion

 

 




The oil processing equipment is capable of handling fruit straight from the grove and processing the fruit with the respect required to produce premium extra virgin olive oil.


Barfold Olives offers a full range of olive oil processing services for growers with batches as small as 100kg.

Crushing, segregated oil storage, filtering, bottling, labeling and basic "free fatty acid" level testing.
