Olive Processing


During 2003/2004 Barfold Olives took the opportunity to install its own processing facility.

 

The facility is fully insulated with flush surfaces to ensure a hygienic and a safe working environment. All equipment coming in contact with the product is of food-grade stainless steel or plastic.

 

Pre 2006 harvest saw the installation and commissioning of a 350kg/hr Rapanelli olive processing machine. This has brought Barfold Olives processing capacity upto 400kg/hr or 8 tonne/day.

 

 

 




The oil processing equipment is capable of handling fruit straight from the grove and processing the fruit with the respect required to produce premium extra virgin olive oil.


Barfold Olives offers a full range of olive oil processing services for growers with batches as small as 30kg.

 

Our services include:

Crushing, segregated oil storage, filtering, bottling, labeling and basic "free fatty acid" level testing.

Barfold Olives ensures quality at all times while handling your product.
